FLUX AND ACCELERATION METHOD FOR CAO MELTING USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A flux and an accelerating method for ashing quicklime using the same are provided to improve the cleanness degree of molten steel by enlarging the depositing knuckle of alumina(Al_2O_3) deoxidation product which is generated in the aluminum deoxidizing process by ashing quicklime. CONSTITUTION: A flux includes the sodium carbonate(Na2CO3) of 40 to 55%, the sodium hydrogen carbonate(NaHCO3) of 25 to 45%, and the rest of water and impurity. The flux accelerates to ash quicklime which is injected into a ladle. The flux is an ore existing as a compound in the natural state or a mixture mixing sodium carbonate and sodium hydrogen carbonate. The sulfur content of the impurity is 1% or less.
