PURPOSE: A controlling method of a hybrid vehicle is provided to start an engine effectively on the neutral mode of flexible hybrid system (FHS4). CONSTITUTION: A controlling method of a hybrid vehicle comprises: a first planetary gear set (PG1) comprising a first line gear, a first planetary gear (p1), a first ring gear, and a first carrier (c1), a second planetary gear set (PG2) comprising a second line gear, a second planetary gear (p2), a second ring gear (r2), and a second carrier; an engine whose output shaft is connected with the first carrier; a first motor generator (MG1) rotating the first ring gear (r1); a second motor generator (MG2) connected with the second line gear (a2) to rotate the first line gear and the second line gear; a first brake (BK1) restricting the rotation of the first ring gear; a second brake (BK2) restricting the rotation of the second ring gear; a first clutch (CL1) connecting the first ring gear and the first carrier selectively; and a second clutch (CL2) connecting the first carrier and the second ring gear selectively.
