PURPOSE: A protection circuit of a battery pack and a battery pack including the same are provided to easily apply the existing protection circuit to a new battery pack by including a storage in the protection circuit of the battery pack and conveniently setting the protection level specification, thereby minimizing a job change loss for producing the protection circuit of a new battery pack. CONSTITUTION: A protection circuit of a battery pack(100) comprises: an external terminal(120) connected to a charger or an external set; a cell terminal(110) in which a battery is connected; a storage unit(140) storing a protection level specification which is data for overcharge/overdischarge reference current and overcharge/overdischarge reference voltage in order to protect the battery to be connected to the cell terminal; a D/A(digital-to-analog) converter(150) reading and converting a protection level specification, which is stored in a storage unit, into an analog protection level specification, which is analog data, by electrically connecting the storage unit; a measurement unit(130) measuring charge/discharge voltage and charge/discharge current, which are connected to the cell terminal, by connecting the cell terminal; a comparing unit(160) comparing the charge/discharge voltage and current, which are measured in the measurement unit, with the analog protection level specification, which is applied by the D/A converter, by being electrically connected to the measurement unit and the D/A converter, respectively; a charge/discharge FET(Field Effect Transistor,180) turning off by being connected between the cell terminal and the external terminal in series if the battery is charged or discharged; and a control unit(170) which controls driving of the charge/discharge FET by electrically being connected with the comparing unit and the charge/discharge FET and judging overcharge and overdischarge by the output signal from the comparing unit.
