PURPOSE: A pylon and a pylon member composing the main post of the pylon are provided to improve resistance to the local buckling of a main post and to manufacture a lightened pylon. CONSTITUTION: A pylon(100) and a pylon member(110) composing the main post of the pylon comprises a center plate(112) and a joint plate(114). The cross section of the center plate is shaped into a cross. The joint plate is vertically welded to both sides of the center plate. The center and joint plates are made of high-strength materials with 600-900MPa of tensile strength. The length from the joint of the joint and center plates to the edge thereof is 7-13 times greater than the depth of the joint and center plates.
