PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine having high uniformity in a wall temperature of a cylinder bore wall.

SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine is characterized in that a fin member for controlling a flow velocity of cooling water flowing in a groove-like cooling water passage is installed in the groove-like cooling water passage of a cylinder block of an internal combustion engine and the fin member is a molded body of a composite material in which glass fiber cloth or stainless steel fiber mesh is joined to one surface side of a rubber material layer formed of a rubber material.
