摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an atomic oscillator capable of maintaining high frequency stability even if intensity of an EIT signal varies, and further to provide a control method of the atomic oscillator and a quantum interference device. <P>SOLUTION: A quantum interference device 1 (atomic oscillator) includes a light generating section 10, metal atoms 20, a light detecting section 30, a control signal generating section 40, a frequency controlling section 50 and a maximum frequency deviation controlling section 60. The control signal generating section 40 generates a control signal 12 frequency modulated. The light generating section 10 generates first light and second light having a frequency difference therebetween in response to a frequency of the control signal 12 and irradiates the metal atoms 20 with the first light and the second light. The light detecting section 30 detects light transmitted through the metal atoms 20. The frequency controlling section 50 controls, on the basis of a detection signal of the light detecting section 30, the frequency of the control signal 12 such that the first light and the second light become a resonance light pair (resonance light pair for causing electromagnetically induced transparency phenomena in the metal atoms 20). The maximum frequency deviation controlling section 60 controls a maximum frequency deviation of the control signal 12 in response to the detection signal of the light detecting section 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
