A positioning device is equipped with: a calculating unit for analyzing positioning initiation commands including operation patterns; a storage unit which correlates and stores operation patterns and analysis results from the calculating unit; and a command generating unit in which, in cases when it is confirmed that an operation pattern corresponding to an operation pattern included in the positioning initiation commands is stored in the storage unit, analysis results associated with the corresponding operation pattern are read, and the read analysis results are used to generate positioning command data for positioning an object to be controlled.
