The method involves preparing a starting process of a motor car. An electric machine (12) is energized during a standstill of driving wheels (24) with a current pulse, whose height and width are matched with downstream drive train elements. A rotational torque is exerted for a movement of the driving wheels from weak to maximum drive train lots, where energization of the electric machine is initiated with current pulses by displacement of a driving selector lever from its park or neutral position.
