<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing method of a glass substrate with which generation of crack in the glass substrate starting from a pressed position is suppressed, when sealing between a plurality of glass substrates; and a device for sealing glass substrates. <P>SOLUTION: When sealing a rectangular back face glass substrate S1 having a frit seal material FS applied thereon and a rectangular front face glass substrate S2 laminated on the back face glass substrate S1, the front face glass substrate S2 is pressed toward the direction of narrowing the distance between the back face glass substrate S1 and the front face glass substrate S2, in a condition that the frit seal material FS is heated to a temperature at which the glass particles contained in the frit seal material FS is melted. When the front face glass substrate S2 is pressed, force of 0.004 to 0.04 N/mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>is applied on the frit seal material FS by pressing a plurality of sites at each side of the front face glass substrate S2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
