A hose such as a garden hose is made from a single band or strip of plastic coated textile material the band or strip being folded so that its edges abut and a strip of the same material as the band or strip is applied over the seam so as to overlap both edges of the main strip the overlapping parts being then welded together. The textile material may be impregnated against deterioration before the plastic coating is applied thereto. The plastic material may be coloured. |
