SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR WIDGET SERVICE PROVIDING USING WEB SERVER AND BROWSER

PURPOSE: A system for supplying a widget service through a web server and a browser and a method thereof are provided to supply a widget service by using the browser and the web service interlinked with the browser even in a terminal or PC in which WAC(Widget Configuration & Packaging) WRT(Web Runtime) cannot be installed. CONSTITUTION: A widget file receiving unit(110) receives a widget file compressed as a specific extension from the outside and decompresses the widget file to confirm a structure of the file. An analyzing unit(120) analyzes a set file to generate widget information and confirms the provision of a widget service through a browser included in a terminal based on the widget information. If the provision of the widget service is confirmed, a virtual path generating unit(130) generates a virtual path and executes a data link. A service providing unit(140) provides a widget service to the terminal accessing through the virtual path.
