<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning gear for a gas turbine constitution. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus for driving a load is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a multiple-shaft gas turbine (103) comprising a high pressure compressor (107) and a high pressure turbine (109) drivingly connected to one another by a first gas turbine shaft (113) and a low pressure compressor (105) and an output turbine (111) drivingly connected to one another by a second gas turbine shaft (115) extending coaxial with the first gas turbine shaft, the high pressure compressor and the high pressure turbine. The apparatus further comprises a load coupling (121) drivingly connecting the output turbine to the load. A dual-speed turning gear (141) includes an output shaft drivingly engaged to and disengaged from the load, and slowly rolls the load or turns the low pressure compressor and a turbo machine drivingly connected thereto during off-line washing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
