A brake device (20) is provided with: a moving member which is displaced with respect to a disk rotor (22); a friction member which presses the disk rotor (22) by being pressed by the displaced moving member to generate braking force; a fluid pressure braking unit which displaces the moving member by fluid pressure; an electric-powered braking unit which displaces the moving member by force different from the fluid pressure; and a brake ECU (70) which controls the fluid pressure braking unit on the basis of information acquired from a detection unit for detecting information correlated with the fluid pressure applied to the moving member. When the electric-powered braking device is operated while braking by the fluid pressure braking unit is performed, the brake ECU (70) controls the fluid pressure braking unit or the electric-powered braking unit such that fluctuations in fluid pressure are suppressed. |
