<p>The present invention relates to an electric vehicle and to a method for controlling same. A method for controlling an electric vehicle according to the present invention comprises the steps of: measuring a first point in time at which a power relay assembly (PRA) receives a relay-off instruction; turning off a main relay according to the relay-off instruction; measuring a second point in time at which a DC link voltage of a motor control unit starts being reduced; and comparing the time difference between the first point in time and the second point in time and a preset reference time to determine whether the PRA is normal or abnormal, and outputting whether or not the PRA is normal or abnormal to an external device.</p> |
