PURPOSE: An apparatus for disposing food waste and a method for the same are provided to reduce bad odor and increase drying efficiency by rapidly disposing plenty of food waste. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for disposing food waste includes a transferring pipe, a dehydrating container(C), a compressing unit, a magnetron(13), an opening and closing unit, and an automatic control unit. An electronic valve(1) is arranged at a transferring pipe(2) and automatically closes when receiving a predetermined amount of food waste. The magnetron dries food waste transferred to the drying chamber. An opening and closing door(7) forms the lateral side of the dehydrating container. The opening and closing unit controls the movement of the opening and closing door. The automatic control unit automatically repeatedly controls an electronic valve, a motor, and the magnetron. |
