<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock nut fixing component for a reel seat that does not impair the design of a fishing rod although it is an after-fittable lock nut looseness restraining component for the reel seat. <P>SOLUTION: The lock nut fixing component 1 mounted to a longitudinal groove part of the reel seat of the fishing rod is made of a resin material such as nylon or polypropylene. The fixing component includes a rectangular parallelepiped part, and a protrusion 3 perpendicularly provided at one end of the rectangular parallelepiped part and formed in T-shape.
