<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support apparatus in which an electric power steering device remains operable when an engine stall occurs due to automatic braking. <P>SOLUTION: The driving support apparatus 100 includes: an obstacle detecting means 11 for detecting an obstacle lying in a proceeding direction; an arrival time evaluating means 12 for evaluating an arrival time at the obstacle; a vehicle braking means 16 for braking a vehicle according to the arrival time; and a steering supporting means 200 for detecting a steering operation to a steering wheel by a driver to support the steering operation while an engine is operated. In the driving support apparatus, when the vehicle braking means applies a brake to the vehicle and an engine rotation number is so lowered that an engine stall occurs, the steering supporting means continues a support to the steering. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
