The present invention relates to a battery module assembly including one or more plate-type battery cells, and provides a battery module assembly including: two or more battery modules each of which includes cell units electrically connected to each other, the cell unit being constituted by one or more battery cells; a pair of upper and lower cases which are configured to surround the outer surfaces of the battery modules so as to outwardly expose one surface of battery modules located at the outermost positions in a state in which the battery modules are vertically arranged with the side surfaces; one or more first fasteners which are vertically formed on an upper surface of the upper case and a lower surface of the lower case in a direction facing each other so as to mutually fasten and fix the upper case and lower case; and two or more second fasteners which are formed horizontally on the front surface and/or rear surface of the upper case and the front surface and/or rear surface of the lower case for position fixing or mounting of the battery module assembly.
