[Problem] The invention relates to a structure for preventing the dropping of propeller shafts. The purpose is to provide a drop-preventing structure with which the companion flange does not slip out of the spline shaft completely and fall, even if the nut loosens and comes off. [Solution] A propeller shaft in which the length of spline engagement of the companion flange with the spline shaft of the first propeller shaft is shorter than the allowable amount of sliding of the spline yoke with respect to the spline shaft of the second propeller shaft, is characterized in that: a round shaft section is provided on the tip of the spline shaft onto which the nut is screwed; the length of the screw threaded section plus the round shaft section on the tip of the spline shaft onto which the nut is screwed is longer than the length from the tip of the companion flange to the nut seat; and the sum of the length of the screw threaded section plus the round shaft section and the length from the tip of the companion flange to the nut seat is longer than the allowable amount of sliding. |
