Artificial leather and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to offer excellent tactility such as high elongation and splitting resistance by coating foamed polymer resin containing a fire retardant on the surface of the artificial leather firmly. Artificial leather for a vehicle, has ultrafine fibers of which mono fineness is 0.001~0.3 denier in non-woven. A coating layer is formed consisting of foamed polymer resin containing a phosphate ester-based fire retardant on a rear side. The content of the phosphorus is 4,500~15,000ppm. The elongation is 120mm or less. The phosphate ester-based fire retardant is contained in the ultrafine fiber. |
