<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques for dynamically biasing an amplifier to extend an operating range of the amplifier while conserving power. <P>SOLUTION: A detector is provided to measure output of the amplifier to determine the operating range of the amplifier. Output of the detector is input to a bias adjuster, which outputs a dynamic voltage level supplied to at least one bias transistor in the amplifier.
