摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire simulation method in which the rolling resistance resulting from the viscoelastic property of each member of the tire and rolling resistance resulting from friction characteristic between a tread part and a road surface are computed separately in a shorter period of time compared with conventional methods. <P>SOLUTION: In the simulation method, friction coefficient parameters between a tire model formed by reproducing the tire and a road surface model, and elastic parameters of rubber material of the tire members associated with each element of the tire model, are added to the tire model, to roll the tire model on the road surface model. From the result of the rolling processing, history information of at least one of distortion and stress of each rolling element is extracted. By use of the history information and the viscoelastic parameters of rubber material of the member corresponding to the element, the energy loss for each element is calculated, thereby calculating the rolling resistance resulting from the viscoelastic characteristics of the members. On the basis of the result of the rolling processing, the front rear axial force of the tire model is calculated as rolling resistance caused by the friction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
