PURPOSE: A duct friction loss calculating system and a method thereof are provided to secure technical skills of vessel duct design by preparing friction loss calculation standards based on a duct model. CONSTITUTION: An input unit (110) processes input data, a calculating unit(120) calculates the friction loss of a duct by using the input data, and a result processing unit(130) outputs the friction loss as a file. The input unit receives a duct model from a user and collects data about the duct model from a three-dimensional CAD system to calculate the input data. The calculating unit calculates the friction loss by using a resistance coefficient, the length of the duct, air specific weight, and speed as the input data.
