PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce processing loads required for generating an image for stereoscopic vision from three-dimensional medical image data.

SOLUTION: An image processing system of an embodiment comprises a rendering processing part 136 and a control part 135 of a workstation 130. The rendering processing part 136 applies rendering processing to volume data which are three-dimensional medical image data. The control part 135 controls so as to store a parallax image group having one or more parallax number, which is generated from the volume data by the rendering processing part 136 and is necessary for displaying stereoscopic vision on a three-dimensional display monitor of a terminal device 140, in an image storage device 120. The three-dimensional display monitor of the terminal device 140 displays a stereoscopic image composed by selecting parallax images having the parallax number from the parallax image group stored in the image storage device 120.
