<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connection component and an optical fiber connection module that can prevent contact with another device and stably hold an optical fiber in a shape in which bend radius of the optical fiber is kept small. <P>SOLUTION: An optical fiber connection component comprises: an optical fiber connection block 10 includes a bottom face 10a connecting an optical fiber connection end face 2A of an optical fiber 2 to an optical element on a substrate and being level with the substrate, a block bottom face opening 10A where an end face 2A formed in the bottom face 10a is arranged, an optical fiber wiring groove 11 penetrating from the opening 10A to a top face 10b facing the bottom face 10a and extending to a drawing opening 10B of the optical fiber 2, and an optical fiber wiring protrusion 12 where the optical fiber wiring groove 11 is arranged; and an optical fiber holder 20 forming a part of the drawing opening 10B and fixing the optical fiber 2 in the part. An optical fiber wiring protrusion 12 includes a vertical part 12A, a first curve surface part 12B, a second curve surface part 12C, and a parallel part 12D in order from a side of the opening 10A to a side of the drawing opening 10B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
