There are provided pharmaceutical compositions comprising a sympathomimetic amine, one or more amino polymers and one or more enteric polymeric compounds insoluble in water at pH below 5.5 the combination of which acts both to interfere with the isolation of the sympathomimetic amine from the composition and to interfere with the conversion of the sympathomimetic amine to another pharmacologically active compound.
