The device (10) has a frame and a tape device (12), where the tape device comprises an endless tape (18) forming a running surface (21). The tape device is formed to movably rotate the tape between a leading end (20) and a posterior end (19) of the running surface. The running surface induces an organism to pass on the running surface relative to the frame. A hop device (13) is arranged so that the tape oscillates relative to a rotational direction of movement transversely to the running surface when the running surface is loaded with weight. An independent claim is also included for a training method.
