The assembly has a traction drive (8) e.g. toothed belt or chain drive, connecting a crankshaft (9) of an internal combustion engine (2) with a starter generator (1) by a traction part (7) in a form-fit manner. The traction part runs into a separated chamber (12), which is supplied with lubricant. The starter generator is arranged at or in a housing (3) of the internal combustion engine and guided with a drive shaft (5) into the separated chamber. Supply conduits (15) of a lubricant circuit (14) of the engine are guided to a retaining point of the generator.
