The injector (1) has pilot valve (7) which is controlled by actuating unit (8) of first actuator (9) in open position, closed position and partially opened intermediate position. The actuating unit (8) and actuating unit (17) of second actuator (16) of injector are mechanically decoupled from each other in specific directions in response to pilot valve position. The actuating units of injector are displaced with respect to each other in opposite directions. The actuating units are self-resettable from the decoupled positions in opposite directions. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing injector.
