摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tapping device that can properly determine a machining failure resulting from non-formation of a pilot hole or formation of an unsuitedly small-sized pilot hole. <P>SOLUTION: The tapping device includes : a tapping rod (5) with a tap (6) installed removably thereon ; a cylinder device (SD) having a piston rod (4) coupling on the tapping rod (5) and a cylinder (2) ; a flow switch (A2) for detecting a flow of air related to the cylinder device (SD) and outputting a detection signal (SN2) corresponding to the detected flow of air ; a driving part (M. 1) for driving the rotation of the tapping rod (5) ; and a control part (SG) for controlling the action of the driving part (M. 1) and determining the machining failure on the basis of a difference between the detection signal (SN2) obtainable when the tap (6) descends while spinning to thread through a workpiece (W) and the detection signal (SN2) obtainable when the tap runs idle without striking through the workpiece (W). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
