<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the restraining structure of a harness to precisely regulate the restraining position of the harness. <P>SOLUTION: The side airbag device 1 is provided with the harness 4 for feeding power to an inflator 3 for generating a gas deploying the side airbag 2 in collision and a cloth-made cover 5 for covering the side airbag 2 and the inflator 3. The cover 5 is formed so as to cover almost all of the side airbag 2 and the inflator 3 and is provided with a cut 5d to form a restraining piece 5c restraining the harness 4 in a part. The restraining piece 5c has a shape provided with a peak part 5cb in which the length of the side airbag 2 in the longitudinal direction is shorter than the length of a skirt part in a place apart from the skirt part 5ca nearly parallel to the longitudinal direction of the folded side airbag 2 in the short side direction of the side airbag 2 by a predetermined distance. Complicated steps such as welding is no needed and the cover and the restraining piece 5c are easily formed.
