PURPOSE: A cloud computing-based application providing method and a system thereof are provided to use an application of a high specification by executing an application in a cloud service providing server and providing image data including an execution result to a user terminal. CONSTITUTION: An application executing unit(220) generates application execution data in response to an execution request of an application received from a user terminal. An encoding processing unit(240) encodes the application execution data into an image to generate application image data. A data transmitting unit(250) transmits the application image data to the user terminal. The encoding processing unit selects encoding target data from the application execution data based on the existence of a video played by the execution of the application.
