PURPOSE: A device for evaluating building energy management performance and a method thereof are provided to add a new evaluation item and to change/edit an evaluation item and a weight value of the evaluation item corresponding to a ratio of the amount of energy use. CONSTITUTION: A device for evaluating building energy management performance includes an evaluation management unit(100) and an evaluation performance unit(200). The evaluation management unit generates a list of evaluation items which comprise an evaluation paper for receiving data of an evaluation object building and manages the list of the evaluation items. The evaluation management unit includes an evaluation item editing module(110), an evaluation paper item list editing module(120), an evaluation level calculation logic editing module(130), and a data storage module(140). The evaluation performance unit generates an evaluation paper corresponding to an evaluation object building. The evaluation performance unit includes an evaluation paper generation module(210), an input module(220), a processing module(230), and a report module(240).
