<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten retrieval processing time of a MAC address retrieval table having a large number of entries. <P>SOLUTION: A MAC address retrieval section 23 has N numbers of comparator circuits 23A each corresponding to an individual storage region on a MAC address retrieval table 22. A retrieval control circuit 23C selects a bucket specified by a hash function from a destination MAC address in a down frame on the MAC address retrieval table 22. The corresponding comparator circuits 23A compare data outputted accordingly in parallel from an individual entry that belongs to the bucket, respectively with MAC addresses contained in the data and with the destination MAC address. On the basis of N comparison results obtained by these comparator circuits 23A, a retrieval response processing circuit 23B acquires destination information from data containing the MAC address that matches the destination MAC address among the foregoing data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
