The present invention relates to a novel use of stereocalpin A, and more particularly, to a pharmaceutical composition containing stereocalpin A for preventing or treating arteriosclerosis, and to a composition containing stereocalpin A for preventing or treating inflammatory diseases. The composition containing stereocalpin A according to the present invention may inhibit an expression of cell adhesion molecules induced by TNF-alpha, and therefore, can be used in a valuable manner for treating and preventing arteriosclerosis or inflammatory diseases.
