<p>The system has operating device (8) and evaluation device (6) for determining shoe size based on images of receiving device survey data or biometric data of to-be-measured object (1). An output device (7) is provided for outputting measurement results. An optical receiving device (5) is moved freely with the operating device, evaluation device and output device that forms a structural unit. The evaluation of captured images of limb is performed by an automated algorithm without requiring user interaction.
