<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic actuator 1 which can downsize a solenoid SL (specifically reduction in diameter) and also improve reliability. <P>SOLUTION: An electromagnetic actuator 1 comprises: a solenoid SL which draws in a plunger 3 in the axial direction by the magnetic force of an electromagnet; a movable pin 4, provided separately from the plunger 3, which is pushed out to a prescribed stroke position by the movement of the plunger 3; and a moderation spring 6 which moves the movable pin 4 pushed out to the prescribed stroke position to a full stroke position by elastic force. According to this composition, the movable pin 4 does not need to be moved to the full stroke position only by the magnetic force of the solenoid SL, and the stroke amount of the plunger 3 can therefore be set to smaller than the stroke amount of the movable pin 4, allowing the magnetic force of the electromagnet which draws in the plunger 3 to be reduced. This means that the outer diameter of a coil 2 which forms the electromagnet can be reduced, and the solenoid SL can therefore be downsized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
