<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging apparatus that houses an accessory component of an object to be packed without complicating a structure and has excellent workability and protective properties. <P>SOLUTION: A paper board is bent along a plurality of bend lines to form the packaging apparatus 1. The packaging apparatus 1 arranged in an indoor unit 10 of an air conditioner includes: a cylindrical housing section 2 formed integrally at part of the packaging apparatus 1; and a holding portion 3. The housing section 2 is arranged on a front surface of the indoor unit, and the holding portion 3 is arranged on a top surface of the indoor unit.
