<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire that effectively prevents chipping in a block while maintaining performances on ice. <P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire includes a plurality of rib-like land portions 3a to 3e formed on a tread section 1, each having a circumferential sipe 4 in a center portion in a width direction. A plurality of pairs of grooves 5a, 5b in a tire width direction, extending from the circumferential sipe 4 to both sides in the tire width direction respectively to communicate with two circumferential grooves 2, 2 are arranged at intervals in a tire circumferential direction C. Two sipes 7, 7 in the width direction, communicating with the circumferential groove 2 and the circumferential sipe 4, are arranged at a small interval in a center portion in the circumferential direction in each of block-like land portions 6a, 6b, to further finely divide each of block-like land portions 6a, 6b into two large division blocks 8a, 8b and a small division block 9. The depth of the grooves 5a, 5b in the width direction is in the range from 50 to 80% of the groove depth of the circumferential groove 2; and the cut depth of the circumferential sipe 4 and of the sipe 7 in the width direction is larger than the groove depth of the grooves 5a, 5b in the width direction and smaller than the groove depth of the circumferential groove 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
