The present invention relates to a seat cushion device configured so that the hardness of the seat cushion having a seating surface, on which a user sits, can be adjusted. The seat cushion device is provided with: recesses formed in the surface on the reverse side of the seating surface of the seat cushion; a left plate which faces the surface on the reverse side of the left-thigh holding section of the seating surface and which can be moved vertically within the recess, the left thigh holding section being that on which the thigh of the left leg of the user is located; a right plate which faces the surface of the reverse side of the right-thigh holding section of the seating surface and which can be moved vertically within the recess, the right-thigh holding section being that on which the thigh of the right leg of the user is located; and clearance adjustment mechanisms which can individually vertically move the left plate and the right plate to adjust the clearance between the surface on the reverse side of the seating surface and each of the left and right plates. |
