LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

A liquid crystal display panel structure and a related manufacturing method thereof are applied to a COA process. The liquid crystal display panel (300) comprises a glass substrate (310), an insulating layer (320), a thin film transistor (220), a protective layer (340), and multiple filter units (350). The liquid crystal display panel (300) uses a metal layer (used to form a data line and a scanning line) disposed between the filter unit (350) and the glass substrate (310) to block the light, so as to avoid color mixture and light leakage. Therefore, the metal layer can be used to substitute for a conventional black matrix layer; in this way, a process of manufacturing a black matrix can be saved, making the process simpler and easier, thereby improving the yield and further reducing the costs.
