The lubricating device (1) has an oil wheel (2) which is rotatably arranged in the gearbox with respect to a pivot axis (4). The oil wheel is provided with a main portion (8) and a revolving drive element (9) arranged in the axial direction. The oil wheel is partially submerged in an oil bath (3) so that the lubricating oil is entrained by the drive element from the oil bath upon rotation of the oil wheel. A limiter (11) is overlapped with the drive element in the radial direction such that the portion of the limiter is arranged in the oil bath.
