摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing technique of a fuel battery which efficiently inhibits flooding. <P>SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of a fuel battery, a fuel cell 20, having an electrolyte membrane 23, catalyst layers 24, 25 which are provided so as to contact with the electrolyte membrane 23, and gas flow passages 30P, 31P provided so that a gas is supplied to the catalyst layers 24, 25, is prepared. Heat treatment is performed on the catalyst layers while a cooling gas is flowed to the gas flow passages. In this method, the heat treatment is not easily performed in portions of the catalyst layers where the gas is easily supplied, and the heat treatment is easily performed in portions of the catalyst layers where the cooling gas is not easily supplied.
