It is intended to provide a food or a drink showing a sharp after taste without lowering the maximum level of sweetness. By adding a polymerized polyphenol (in particular, polymerized catechin that is a tea-origin polymerized polyphenol) to a food or a drink containing a sweetener, it is possible to provide a food or a drink which shows a regulated long-lasting sweetness, which is an after taste unfavorable from the standpoint of preference, while scarcely lowering the maximum level of sweetness of the sweetener.
