摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently control a temperature of a battery in a battery temperature control mechanism which circulates a heat medium, thereby controlling the temperature of the battery. <P>SOLUTION: A battery module 1 is formed by providing a battery temperature control mechanism 2 in multiple batteries 12 housed in a case 11. A flow passage 20 is connected with the case 11, and a circulation passage where a heat medium circulates is formed by the case 11 and the flow passage 20. An introduction port 20a for introducing outer air into the flow passage 20 is formed in the flow passage 20. A changeover valve 24 is provided in the introduction port 20a. The changeover valve 24 switches the flow passage 20 between an introduction state where the outer air is introduced to the flow passage 20 and a non-introduction state where the outer air is not introduced to the flow passage 20. A control unit 40 switches the changeover valve 24 to introduce the outer air to the flow passage 20 when determining that the efficiency of the temperature control of the battery 12 is improved if the outer air is introduced to the flow passage 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
