<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid flanks of corner edges located at the internal peripheral side of the tip of an end mill body from interfering with a material to be cut even at high feed processing and ramping, and to increase the number of cutting edges usable at one insert body. <P>SOLUTION: Rake faces 3 are formed at square faces of the insert body 1 which are formed into square plate shapes, the flanks 4 are formed at side faces arranged at the surrounding of the square faces, main cutting edges are formed at side ridges of the square faces at cross ridge lines between the rake faces 3 and the flanks 4, corner edges 6 continued to one-side ends of the main cutting edges and formed into protrusive curved line shapes when viewed from a direction opposing the rake faces 3 are formed at corners, and flank angles β6 of the corner edges 6 are formed large toward positive angle sides as progressing from one-side ends 6a of the corner edges 6 continued to the one-side ends of the main cutting edges toward other ends 6b of the corner edges 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
