<p>In an example embodiment, an approach is provided for increasing the functionality of a user device when the device is in an, at least in part, locked state. The approach involves presentation of a first user interface and rendering of at least a portion of a second user interface associated with the first user interface while the user device is in an, at least in part, locked state wherein the second user interface is associated with one or more applications and/or one or more services. Further, one or more interactions with the first user interface and/or with the at least a portion of the second user interface are detected and processed for at least changing the device to an, at least in part,unlocked state.</p> |
