The device (2) has a compressor connector (6.1) connecting a compressor (3), and a drying device (10) drying air conveyed in delivery phases. A supply line (12) receives the conveyed air. A non-return valve device (11) passes the air into the line. A 3/2 regeneration valve device (22) forms a regeneration phase. A regeneration metallic spacer (26) is formed between the valve and drying devices. Regeneration air is guided through the spacer to dry the drying device in the regeneration phase. A sensor device (30) is attached to the spacer and measures moisture contents and/or temperature of air. The drying device is designed as a mono- or multi-chamber air dryer. The sensor device is designed as a humidity sensor and a temperature sensor.
