<p>The present invention relates to a method for controlling weeds in a sugar cane field, said method comprising treating the field in which sugar cane stem fragments each having only one joint are not planted yet or the field in which the sugar stem fragments have been planted already with at least one herbicide selected from the group consisting of ametryn, atrazine, simazine, alachlor, metolachlor, S-metolachlor, asulam, metribuzin, trifluralin, pendimethalin, tebuthiuron, diuron, hexazinone, amicarbazone, imazapic, trifloxysulfuron sodium salt, iodosulfuron-methyl sodium salt, halosulfuron-methyl, ethoxysulfuron, carfentrazone-ethyl, isoxaflutole, bicyclopyrone, mesotrione, picloram and salts and esters thereof, 2,4-D and salts and esters thereof, dicamba and salts and esters thereof, clomazone, MSMA, parachor, diquat, glufosinate, glufosinate ammonium salt, glufosinate-P and salts thereof, and glyphosate and salts thereof. According to the present invention, it becomes possible to achieve an excellent control effect on weeds in a sugar cane field without inducing any harmful effect that may be a problem to sugar cane. It also becomes possible to increase the yield of sugar cane and increase the production amount of a sugar.</p> |
