<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable channel scan even when a signal from an antenna is supplied after frequency conversion in a relay, for example. <P>SOLUTION: A receiver comprises: a control unit which causes a relay, which receives a signal in a desired frequency band to convert into a signal in a frequency band assigned to the receiver and then outputs the converted signal, to receive signals while sequentially changing the frequency band; and a measurement unit for measuring a spectrum of a signal supplied from the relay after the frequency conversion.
